How to define your specific internet audience that will pay?
Hey, what’s up entrepreneurs,
Are you ready to reveal the #1 principle of a happy entrepreneur?
Great! Here we go!
Are there people from IT, who have moved to a different country, have children, are introverted, and love sports? Or perhaps there are salespeople, who are bored with their job but interested in design, architecture, and crypto?
Stop✋
What am I talking about?
I am referring to one of the core principles that every entrepreneur should start with.
And I have bad news, it is not “do what you love” 🤷♂️
It is to find a specific, targeted internet(if we are talking about a scalable business) audience, or the niche you want to serve.
Why? (my favorite question, people should ask it much more frequently )
Because the more specific you can describe your client, the better offer you give, which in turn will set you apart from your competitors. As a result, more clients, more money, better cars, and vacations on beautiful Caribbean islands 🏝️
I will show you.
Let’s take the first IT guy I mentioned at the beginning. Which service does he choose when it comes to the personal trainer?
UPS(Unique Selling Propositions) for service #1:
Morning, afternoon and evening: we are always with you. In our center you will be advised throughout your training. Our qualified staff will help you with any questions you may need. Always by your side. No matter the time, so that the nights are not so hard to train ... we are with you.
(the real one I just copied from their landing page)
UPS for service #2:
Break barriers with our bilingual personal trainers. Achieve your fitness goals while learning the local language. Receive personalized training and weekly healthy meals delivered to your door - designed for expats, by expats.
(invented)
Is the USP #1 clear to anyone? Really, look at this text:
…we are always with you …Always by your side …No matter the time…🤦♂️
Is it a gym at all??
And yet unlikely relevant to an introvert who has a family.
Okay, You got it!
Now let’s figure out two more questions and we are done for today. 😎
Identify the WHO
Ask yourself who you want to impact. What community do you want to create a lasting positive impact for? You can start with a broad audience and then go as narrow as possible.
Example:
parents → parents who have shy children
Identify the WHAT
You can start with curiosity, or better with the subject you know extremely well. Ask what problem you want to take on and solve. You can search for the list of “8 Primary Human Desires” and serve one or better a few.
Going back to the example above and add WHAT:
→ parents who have shy children who have problems with adaptation in school.
Do you have this provided experience and managed to fix the issue? Congratulations! You can write about it, people with the same problem will listen to you!
Tip
Who do you know in every aspect of life, all thoughts and needs, who can give you the quickest feedback… Correct. You can also start doing something you yourself need OR help someone you can meet daily, talk to, and gather all the information you need.
